can you apply for maternity leave after going back to work?

I went back to work 6 weeks after my twin boys were born due to my fiance not having a job .( i did not go on mat leave ) Now he has one .
My boys are 3 1/2 months old . Am i still eligible for Maternity leave now ?

ETA: What!? Actually, I do. And I’m frankly sick of all you parents who believe you are entitled to do whatever you like simply because you have children. Children are a responsibilty and so is a job. Lots of people work and have children, and some choose one or the other, but having kids doesn’t mean you should get preferential treatment in the workplace. It is your choice whether or not to work, but your colleagues shouldn’t have to bear the burden of your absense whenever you don’t feel like going to work because you chose to breed. Having children is something the MAJORITY of people do, not some sort of miraculous event…and I don’t think you need a parking space close to the door or that people should let you go first in line either. LMAO
