Whats the shortest maternity leave I can take?

I am trying to plan my maternity leave. I am the sole supporter of my house hold and I honestly do not need to be out of work on an unpaid leave but I have no choice. How short is to short?
I have family that is willing to watch my baby while I’m at work.

My friend took 2 weeks off and then went back to work as she had to earn money, personally i think it all depends on the person, you will need time to bond with your baby and get into routines and also time to relax after birth, but i would say as soon as you feel up to it return to work.
also see how long your company gives you full paid maternity for, if its for example 3 months then you know for 3 months you will be ok. hope this helps and congrats on the birth
