Maternity Leave Jobs

maternity leave jobs
How to confront a boss with maternity leave with a chance of not returning?

Ok so I asked if I should quit my job while pregnant and it was pretty obvious that I should keep my job until at least the baby is born. I hate this job and would love to decide not to come back after my maternity leave being over. However finacially it’s just not possible to not have any job. I know I can look for a job while on maternity leave but I don’t know how likely it would be to find a job. I want to be some what up front with my current employer as far as when they should expect me back if at all but it’s hard if I don’t know if I’ll have a job with the same pay to back me up. What should I tell my employer or what should I do?

Dont put this pressure on your self right now and dont allow your employer to pressure you for an answer yet either. No-one knows how they are going to feel after they have a baby, some women want to get back to work asap while others decide they cant bear to.
As this time you should let your employer know that you are likely to return to work but dont make any promises.
Make this decision later in your maternity leave. If you work full time, ask them if they are open to discussion about you coming back part time or on reduced hours. If they dont like the idea then you can maybe use this as a reason at a later date.
Good luck with everything.
