is it true i can get 12 weeks off paid maternity leave?

i heard that i can get 6 weeks form paid family leave and then get 6 more weeks after that of disability paid for a totoal of 12 weeks paid
how much truth is in this?
i woudl like ot spend as much time as i can with my newborn of course as long as i get paid bc i cnat afford to not get paid and stay home
so how would i go about this?
would i file for PML then disability or both at the smae time?
please give me as much help as possible

Logan, you’re wrong. It is LAW that the employer pays at least 6 weeks’ maternity leave if you’ve worked for them at least a year full-time. That’s the Family Medical Leave Act.

Some employers pay you full pay for the first six weeks, and half pay for the remaining 6 weeks.

Some employees can’t stand getting half pay so they go back earlier.
