Employment Law Bullying And Harassment
July 6th, 2008 by admin

At will employment: Does this mean I have to tolerate excessive harassment and not sexual harassment? ?

I work in North and South Carolina, who are both States at will employment. No protection for employees who are being harassed and intimidated by their employers because of obsolete labor laws dating cotton harvest workers. I've been harassed to the point of completion, and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. Resources Department Human could do nothing to help, because that would be seen as legally guilty plea by the employer and therefore could do nothing. This group of directors has come out with this type of treatment for years and there seems no way to stop them. Does anyone in North Carolina or South Carolina ever going to defend the workers?

You need to get a lawyer immediately. Tell them your problem and I am sure they will have some solutions for you. If you says it can be shown then you have a claim against these people. Furthermore, the job will only mean you can dismiss or get rid of you for any reason or no reason.
